Guest Passes

YMCA Members are welcome to bring guests with them to the YMCA. Member Guests must purchase a Buddy Pass for $5 and will have member privileges for that day (does not include discounts on programs). YMCA Members need to be 12 years or older to bring a guest. YMCA Members ages 12-15 can only bring in guests 12 years and older. Member 16 and older can bring in a guest of any age to the YMCA. The member must remain on the premises during the guest's visit. Guests must have their photo taken and abide by all rules, policies, and procedures.

First-time visitors must complete the Guest Agreement Form and provide a photo ID (adults only) before entry is allowed. It is preferred that minors have it filled out by a parent or guardian. To streamline this process, you can print a form at home and bring it to the YMCA Member Service desk.

Insurance-Based Memberships

The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley participates in Silver Sneakers, Silver & Fit, and Renew Active/One Pass.  These are fitness benefits provided by insurers – to know for sure if you receive this benefit, please contact your insurance provider.

We verify your eligibility and set up your membership at no cost to you.  The YMCA gets paid for your membership based on how often you use the facility, so it is important that you scan your card when you visit any facility.  Only the individual(s) who is covered by the insurance is eligible for this membership. There is no family upgrade option meaning your spouse would also need to be covered by the insurance or they would need to pay for their own adult membership.

Insurance-Based Memberships are considered full YMCA memberships – you have full facility access and member benefits throughout the entire association (YMCA Sports Center and YMCA Tennis Center may have additional fees for activities but you get the member rate).  However, this membership is not recognized as a nationwide membership and is only recognized at our YMCA association.

In January of every year, we do “renewals” regardless of when you joined.  We will simply ask if you have had any changes to your insurance.  Those who do not check in with us for the renewal will have their memberships cancelled but you can rejoin at any time with no penalty.  Questions? Email us for more information.
