Massage Therapist | Chippewa Falls YMCA 

The Chippewa Falls YMCA is looking to add another massage therapist to the massage therapy department. There is a massage area onsite at the YMCA. This position can set their own flexible work schedule, work as many hours as desired, get competitive wages and the receive a YMCA membership upon employment. This position is open immediately.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Massage Certification of choice

Communication & Marketing | YMCA of the Chippewa Valley

Under the direction of the Association Marketing Director, the Communication & Marketing interns and professional will be responsible for assisting and organizing internal and external communication, publicity, advertising, public relations, event organization, and marketing of the programs, events, and mission of the YMCA of the Chippewa Valley. S/he promotes the YMCA and its programs in a manner that  enhances the reputation of the organization as a safe, healthy and fun place for children, adults and families to strengthen body, mind and spirit, and as a vital community resource worthy of the  community’s support.


Youth Program Licensed Teacher | Eau Claire YMCA 

Part time teaching position teaching basketball, volleyball or STEAM classes ages K-5 grade and/or middle school aged classes. Use your experience and knowledge to teach in fun atmosphere with a great summer schedule.
Classes are morning classes (10 AM - Noon) M-Th from June 14 - Aug 5.

Janitorial/Maintenance Staff | Eau Claire YMCA 

Responsible for the overall cleanliness and general appearance of the Eau Claire YMCA. Daily housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitation duties. Assistance on general maintenance projects and emergency repairs as requested. Must be able to work independently. Responsible for modeling our four values: Caring, Honesty, Respect & Responsibility. Hours worked will be mostly days with occasional weekends. Staff member will receive a free membership to the YMCA. 

Rate of pay is $10-$12/hr based on experience.

Wellness Staff | Chippewa Falls YMCA 

The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley is looking for individuals to join the Wellness Team at the Chippewa Falls YMCA. Wellness staff have direct contact with members and help ensure they are having the best experience possible at the YMCA.

Available shifts are as follows:

  • Saturdays  7-11:30 AM & 11:30-4 PM (Fall/Winter/Spring Hours) &  7-10:30 AM & 10:30-2 PM (Summer Hours)
  • Sundays, 7-10:30 AM & 10:30-2 PM

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise the weight room, cardio room and track area.
• Responsible for keeping fitness areas in a safe and sanitary condition.
• Engage and create relationships with YMCA members.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be 18 Years or Older
• Knowledge and passion in fitness preferred.
• Outgoing and Friendly.

Summer Day Camp Counselor | YMCA Sports Center, Eau Claire YMCA, or Chippewa Falls YMCA 

Eau Claire YMCA & Chippewa Falls YMCA

Day Camp counselors work with kids ages 5-13 during the summer months. Counselors will positively model and reinforce Y core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility; lead activities and ensure safety of children. This is a full time/part time seasonal position, generally taking place between 6:30 AM-6:00 PM at our Eau Claire location and 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM at our Chippewa Falls location.

Because they work in teams, this person has a mature attitude that allows her/him to communicate effectively, problem solve and anticipate the needs of children and fellow co-workers.  
General Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate large and small motor skills activities.
• Encourage children’s growth in character development through honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.
• Act as a role model and teacher with good communication skills, listening skills, cooperation, problem solving and self-control.
• Build strong relationships with staff, children, and parents.
• Follow a work schedule and maintain good attendance.
• Be conscientious about safety measures.

Pay is $9.50/hour - $11/hour.

YMCA Sports Center

The full-time position is a 40 hour a week position and will run Mondays – Fridays from June 4th thru August 27th. Camp hours are 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM. Full-time and part-time positions available.  

The Summer Camp Counselor position requires strong leadership skills to help in guiding children, ages 5-14, and teaching them the benefits of activity and exercise. Children are to be supervised during all times at the Sports Center as well as on field trips. Counselors are expected to oversee up to 18 children at once while at the Sports Center and 10 children when on field trips. Starting wage is $9/hour for Camp Counselors. Lead positions pay up to $11/hour depending on experience and personal role throughout Summer Camp.

Pay is $9/hour - $11/hour.

Facility Attendant | YMCA Sports Center

The YMCA Sports Center is currently accepting applications for part-time Facility Attendants (10-20hrs/week). This position is seasonal-based (June-August) with potential for year-round employment.  Available shifts are weekday afternoons/evenings. May apply for individual days or varied shifts. Flexibility to fit your schedule! Pay is $8.55-$9/hour.

Before School Teacher |  Chippewa Falls YMCA

Make an impact in a child's life! For approximately less 8 hours a week, you would be responsible for watching a handful of kids from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM Monday-Friday. Watch and play with the children at the YMCA until 7:10 AM, then escort the kids across the street to Parkview elementary and onto their correct bus. This position would end at the end of the school year and would not provide hours on no school days. There would also be room to gain more hours helping in the rest of the School Age Department if you wish. Pay would start at $9.50.

Early Childhood Teacher - Part-time & Full-Time Opportunities | Chippewa Falls YMCA

The YMCA is searching for someone to fill a full time opening at the Early Learning Community. Responsibilities include providing a quality, safe, and fun program for children through the planning and organizing of daily activities. This individual must be a team player with good communication skills and a love of working and playing with children. Previous experience working with children, preferably in a licensed childcare center. Must have, or be willing to obtain necessary course in infant/toddler care.

The YMCA is also searching for someone to fill a part time opening from Noon-6 PM or 3-6 PM at the Early Learning Community. Responsibilities include providing a quality, safe, and fun program for children through the planning and organizing of daily activities. Lifeguard Instructor and CPR Instructor | Eau Claire YMCA

Both Lifeguard Instructors and CPR Instructors are key member of the Aquatics team that are responsible for teaching Lifeguard courses, Lifeguard Review courses, or a variety of First Aid/CPR/AED courses in Lay Person or Professional/Health Care provider, for staff and community members.  Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, it is the Instructor's responsibility to educate, , observe, provide feedback and correction, leadership, supervision, and safety of all course participants.  Also, responsible for the appearance, presentation, and working order of all materials and equipment used for training.  Must have a current Lifeguard and/or CPR certification.  Preferred, but not required certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor and/or Firs Aid/CPR/AED Instructor.


Water Exercise Instructor | Eau Claire YMCA

Teaches YMCA water aerobics class Monday and Wednesday from 8:00-9:00 am. Teaches scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time; provides adequate warm-up, exercise, stretching, and cool down. Instructs patrons on effective workout methods; explains proper techniques, demonstrates exercises; identifies different muscle groups, and teaches appropriate methods to strengthen specific muscles. Assists patrons, answers questions, and maintains a positive exercise experience for members and class participants. Keeps management informed of pool activities, facility needs, and significant problems. Ability to cooperate and work well with other staff members. Ensures pool safety and YMCA policies are adhered to. Performs related duties as required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certified Instructor (AEA, ACE, AFAA), water specialty/certification preferred.
  • Certification in CPR/AED desired.
  • Necessary knowledge of hydrodynamic principles and water exercise movements.
  • Familiar with human anatomy- muscle groups, body functions during exercise.
  • Knowledge of teaching strategies and the incorporation of music, tempo, cueing technique, and rhythm.
  • Incorporate creative exercises using different equipment.
  • Ability to be professional and motivate class participants.

Lifeguard | Chippewa Falls or Eau Claire YMCA

The Lifeguard is a key member of the Aquatics team that is responsible for supervising the aquatics area to prevent accidents, assist swimmers, and respond to emergencies. Each member of our Lifeguard team creates a safe, positive and enjoyable atmosphere, promoting member safety and satisfaction in accordance with the YMCA policies and procedures. A Lifeguard builds positive relationships with members and program participants through effective listening and verbal skills. You will oversee multiple activities including open swim, water exercise, swim lessons and lap swimming. Hours are flexible for your schedule. Must be 15 years or older. 


Swim Instructor | Eau Claire YMCA or Chippewa Falls YMCA

Hiring instructors for Spring and Summer.

We will provide on the job training, although experience is preferred, it is not required. Ages 16 and older. Hours are flexible for your schedule. Customer Service Team | Eau Claire YMCA

This team is responsible for working at our Service Desk or Welcome Desk.  Duties include selling memberships, signing people up for programs, scanning cards, answering phones and being the first point of contact for YMCA members and guests.  Staff will ensure that our members and guests have great customer service and their needs are met.

Hours vary but mainly between 8 am – 10 pm Sunday - Saturday. Please apply online.
