Account Services
For your convenience, many membership transactions that are typically performed at our Welcome Center can be requested HERE!
For current members who would like to register online, please set up your online account prior to the registration date. Do this by clicking here.
You will be asked to enter your email address or phone number associated with your account. If you are a current member or have previously enrolled in a YMCA program, your account should be located by entering that information. If your account is unable to be found or is not unique, please contact us for assistance. Do not create an account if you are a current member, this will make you a non-member so the pricing and registration dates will be incorrect. If your name information is found, please follow the prompted steps.
If you are new to the YMCA and have never registered for a program, please select the ‘Sign Up’ option in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Choose your location and desired membership type. If you would like to create an account as a non-member, please scroll to the bottom of the membership page and you will see
‘Non-Member’ as an option. If you are in need of assistance, please contact our Member Service Desk

Membership:
Cancellation of membership must be made by the end of the month prior to the next membership draft date, in writing. This can be done by cancelling online, filling out a form at the desk, or by emailing the Membership Director with the request.
Members may hold/freeze a monthly auto draft membership for up to 3 months. All holds start and end with the billing cycle. Members on hold are considered non-members until hold is released which may result in additional program and childcare fees.
No refunds will be given for any unused portion of a membership. Memberships paid in full may not be extended for any reason.
Programs, Classes, and Events:
Public Health Closure: If the YMCA is required to cancel an event or program due to directives from the CDC, WEDC, health departments, governmental agencies, or insurance providers, refunds or credits are not guaranteed.
Fee-Based Programs / Lessons / Classes: Once registration is completed for a class or program, no refunds will be issued.
Inclement Weather Policy: Refunds or credits will not be provided for cancellations due to inclement weather. Make-up classes will not be offered in the event of weather-related cancellations.
Class Cancellation by the YMCA: If the YMCA cancels a fee-based program for any reason (excluding inclement weather), participants will be offered either a full refund or a credit, according to their preference. Weather-related cancellations fall under the Inclement Weather Policy noted above.
Medical Cancellation: In the event a participant withdraws from a fee-based program due to medical reasons, a credit for the unused portion of the program will be issued. Appropriate medical documentation is required.
Promotions: Promotional discounts have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for or applied to other YMCA fees. In the case of a refund, the individual shall receive only the amount paid. To maintain eligibility for promotional discounts, the member’s account must remain in good standing, with no failed payments or outstanding balances for membership, programs, events, or childcare.
General Program Participation
Not all programs at the YMCA of the Chippewa Valley require an active membership to participate. However, if a participant registers under an active membership and receives the discounted member rate, then cancels their membership during the program session:
Participation may be forfeited OR the participant will be back-charged the difference between the member and non-member rate.
Program participation will be suspended until the outstanding balance is paid in full.
Competitive Team Participation
An active YMCA membership is required for all participants in the YMCA Barracudas Swim Team and the YMCA Jr. Blugold Gymnastics Team.
Membership must be active at the time of registration and remain active for the entire duration of the registered session(s).
If a participant’s membership becomes inactive before or during a program session:
- The participant will be back charged for any missed
membership dues.
- Program participation will be suspended until
payment is received and membership is reinstated.

Please Note
At the Y, staff, and volunteers go to great lengths to outline all rules and policies to ensure the comfort and safety of you, your family and other members. Because it is impossible to foresee or communicate every situation that may arise, we reserve the right to amend or add a policy/operating rule to ensure the safety and comfort for all. We understand that consistency among our Y's is a cornerstone of our business practice and want you to be met with the same guidelines, regardless of which locations you visit. However, due to varying facility designs, space and amenities, from time to time, you may see a variation to a rule or policy between locations. Please contact the executive director or membership director at any of our Y's if you have any questions.
