GYMNASTICS
For children ages 12 months - 5 years
The Jr Blugold YMCA Gymnastics Program aids in your child's physical, mental, and social development. Our objective is to provide children with safe, positive, and fun learning experiences! We aim to build strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and self-confidence while having fun with the sport of gymnastics. We provide an opportunity for the children of our community to participate, learn, and enjoy the skills of gymnastics in a safe, wholesome, family-friendly environment.

Parent & Tots | 18-24 Months
Join other families for our parent and tots gymnastics class. We emphasize a safe physical play environment incorporating group time with a musical warm-up, fun stretching and introduction of basic body positions and gymnastics skills. Parents will assist their child through a series of stations, obstacle courses, and activities on all 4 gymnastics apparatus.
Tumble Tots | Age 3 (Parent As Needed)
Join other preschool aged children for our tumble tots gymnastics class that provides basic gymnastics progressions taught on each apparatus. Children will be encouraged to follow multi-step directions during this explorative gymnastics class; including stretching, jumping, rolling, balancing, and swinging along with communicating with peers and taking turns. These classes are for children who are 3 years old and parent assistance is welcome as needed.
Big Shots | Age 4-5
Join other preschool aged children for Big Shots, our gymnastics class for 4- and 5-year-olds not yet enrolled in kindergarten. Children will practice basic gymnastics skills as they navigate through a variety of warm-up activities, stretches and station circuits designed to improve strength and body awareness. This class is intended to prepare children for our school-age progressive class program.
