YMCA Before & After School Care

Registration for the 2024-2025 school year will begin on June 17, 2024.

In YMCA Before & After School Care, kids engage in physical and educational activities that encourage them to explore who they are and what they can achieve.

Before & After School Care

After School Program

This state-licensed program offers children Kindergarten–5th grade care where children can stay engaged in a fun, safe, and friendly atmosphere. Each site offers a unique program to help individual children develop positive self-esteem. Daily activities may include group discussions, group play, positive interaction, arts & crafts, homework help, and outdoor play. Care is provided until 6:00 PM at your child's After School Program site. An afternoon snack is provided, along with 100% fruit juice.

YMCA Locations - Parents can pick their children up at the YMCA locations until 6:00 PM.
- Eau Claire YMCA - Clubhouse, 206 Emery St, Eau Claire, WI 54701 (across from the downtown YMCA)
  - The YMCA will bus Lakeshore, Longfellow, & Montessori.
- Chippewa Falls YMCA, 611 Jefferson Ave, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729
  - The school district will bus children from all area elementary schools to the YMCA upon parent request.
Onsite School Locations - Parents can pick their children up at their elementary school location until 6:00 PM.
- Eau Claire onsite locations are available at Flynn, Locust Lane, Manz, Meadowview, Northwoods, Putnam Heights, Robbins, and Sam Davey.
- Chippewa Falls onsite locations are available at Halmstad, Hillcrest, and Southview.
  - New for 2023-2024 school year: Parkview after school care will be provided at the Chippewa Falls YMCA.

Before School Care

This program is available for children enrolled in all elementary schools (all public and private schools). Before School Care is designed to provide quality, licensed childcare for children before their school day begins.

Ages: Kindergarten to 12 years

YMCA Locations:
- Eau Claire YMCA - Clubhouse
  - Runs from 6:30 AM until school starts, Monday through Friday. Children will be bused directly to their school.
- Chippewa Falls YMCA Early Learning Community
  - Chippewa Falls Before School Care is offered through the YMCA Early Learning Community. Please CLICK HERE (coming soon) to learn more about this program.
Onsite School Locations - Parents can drop off their children at their elementary school location after 6:30 AM.
- Eau Claire onsite locations are available at Flynn, Locust Lane, Manz, Meadowview, Northwoods, Putnam Heights, Robbins, and Sam Davey.

In YMCA School's Out Care, kids engage in physical and educational activities that encourage them to explore who they are and what they can achieve. It’s a safe place to learn, have fun, and get active during the school year when school isn't in session (snow days, holiday breaks, and scheduled non-school days).

School's Out is designed to provide quality, licensed childcare for children who are enrolled in the YMCA Before and After School Care when the schools are not in session. Daily plans include sports, arts and crafts, and many other activities to keep your child motivated, social, and active. Enrollment availability varies.
