At the Y, strengthening the foundation of our community is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we work together to invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors. We provide support for families and promote positive change overall through our Annual Campaign. When you give to the Y, you help more people move forward.

YMCA Members (12 and older) are welcome to bring guests with them to the YMCA Membership Branches at no cost to their guest.
Members can bring 2 guests per day, however, each individual guest will be limited to 3 free visits per year. Guests of our YMCA Members will have member privileges for that day, excluding program discounts or fees for activities and events as advertised.
Once the free visit limit has been met, a membership must be obtained, or a day pass must be purchased. There is no limit to day pay purchases. Community events and promotions that allow for free visits will not count towards the limit.
Day Pass Prices:
Individual: $15 per day
Family: $25 per day (family must live in same household)
YMCA Members need to be 11 years or older to bring a guest. The YMCA Member must remain on the premises during the guest visit. Guests must have their photo taken and abide by all rules, policies, and procedures.
First-time visitors must complete the Guest Agreement Form and provide a photo ID (18 and older) before entry is allowed. It is required that minors have it filled out by a parent or guardian. To streamline this process, you can print a form at home and bring it to the YMCA Member Service desk.
The YMCA conducts regular sex offender screenings on all members, participants, and guests. If a sex offender match occurs, the YMCA reserves the right to cancel membership, end program participation, and remove visitation access. This information may be shared with other YMCAs.
If you have questions regarding this new member benefit, please contact the Member Service Desk at your YMCA branch.
The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley participates in Silver Sneakers, Silver & Fit, Renew Active & One Pass. These are fitness benefits provided by insurers – to know for sure if you receive this benefit, please check with your provider or check your eligibility below!
We verify your eligibility and set up your membership at no cost to you. The YMCA gets paid for your membership based on how often you use the facility, so it is important that you scan your card when you visit any facility. Only the individual(s) who is covered by the insurance is eligible for this membership. There is no family upgrade option meaning your spouse would also need to be covered by the insurance or they would need to pay for their own adult membership.
Insurance-Based Memberships are considered full YMCA memberships – you have full facility access and member benefits throughout the entire association (YMCA Sports Center and YMCA Tennis Center may have additional fees for activities but you get the member rate). However, this membership is not recognized as a nationwide membership and is only recognized at our YMCA association.
In January of every year, we do “renewals” regardless of when you joined. We will simply ask if you have had any changes to your insurance. Those who do not check in with us for the renewal will have their memberships cancelled but you can rejoin at any time with no penalty. Questions? Contact us for more information.
The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley does not offer a military discount on membership, but, families with active duty personnel can apply for the military outreach initiative which will pay for active duty personnel and families for 6 months at a time.

The YMCA aims to operate normally as much as possible during inclement weather. Yet, some of our staff travel long distances to work and others have school-age children who are impacted when schools are cancelled or delayed.
With this in mind, school district closures will affect YMCA instructor-led programs and offerings (ex. Child Watch, group exercise classes, lessons, & programs) through 1 PM at YMCA membership branches (Chippewa Falls YMCA, Eau Claire Downtown YMCA, and Eau Claire South YMCA). Even if these programs and offerings are affected, YMCA facilities will remain open for general use (with rare exceptions).
When schools in Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire are delayed or cancelled, YMCA membership branches in the affected city/cities will follow these protocols:
If school is cancelled or delayed, the membership branch(es) will cancel instructor-led offerings until 1 PM. The status of afternoon/evening instructor-led offerings will be announced by 1 PM.
If school has an early release, the status of evening offerings will be determined and announced by 3 PM.
Weekends or Non-School Days: YMCA Administration will determine to what (if any) extent programs, services, and facilities might be affected.
Private Instruction & Personal Training will be decided between instructor and client.
YMCA School-Age Care Protocol:
In the occurrence of a Snow/Cold Day, Early Release, or Late Start, refunds will not be issued for Before or After Care.

Be in the Know!
Facility updates will be posted on our branches’ Facebook pages, on our website (www.ymca-cv.org), and on our YMCA mobile app. Please check these platforms for updates before, during, and after an inclement weather situation.
In some rare cases it may be decided that YMCA facilities will close altogether. In those cases, everything is cancelled, including private instruction and full-time child care.
