Child Care Center Assistant Director

We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and compassionate Child Care Center Assistant Director to assist in leading daily operations of our child care center. This role is both rewarding and fast-paced, requiring strong leadership, knowledge of child development, and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

The ideal candidate is flexible, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative environment while maintaining professionalism and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Daily Operations: Oversees center operations, ensures licensing compliance, and maintains a safe, organized environment . Create and execute week to week schedule for staff and children as well as adjusting as needed on a day to day basis.

• Family Engagement & Enrollment: Conducts tours, manages waitlists, supports enrollment, and maintains strong communication with families

• Staff Leadership: Assists with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management; fosters a positive team culture

• Program Oversight: Supports curriculum implementation, coordinates events and activities, and ensures developmentally appropriate practices. Oversees School District Eau Claire 4 Tomorrow (4k) program.

• Classroom Support: Steps into classrooms as needed to assist staff and ensure quality care

• Compliance & Safety: Maintains accurate records and uphold all health, safety, and regulatory standards

• Systems Management: Oversees Procare and ensures accurate tracking of attendance, schedules, and communication
