About the Role
Provide instruction for students in Preschool (Ages 1-5) and Progressive (Ages 5-17)
classes. Guide students through a variety of drills, skills, and strengthening exercises
in a safe, progressional and recreational manner.
Key Qualifications
Positively models and reinforces YMCA’s core values, mission statement, and relationship-building skills in all interactions.
Is familiar with the provided lesson plan each week or is prepared for each class with a lesson plan according to the class specifications.
Sets up drills and stations appropriate to the skill level of the class. Introduces skills and supervises all gymnasts throughout the class.
Fills out paperwork for documenting each class and completes student evaluations once per term.
Maintains professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with the Gymnastics Policies and Procedures.
Communicates with parents of students as necessary to inform of student progress and build rapport. Directs questions as needed to Gymnastics Director
