About the Role
The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley is looking for an energetic, caring, and organized Seasonal School-Age Child Care Coordinator to help lead our engaging youth program in Menomonie, Wisconsin! This is more than just a summer job—it’s a chance to make a lasting impact on kids and families while gaining leadership experience in a fun, fast-paced environment. The School-Age Child Care Coordinator provides day-to-day leadership of a summer program aligned with the Menomonie School District’s summer school schedule. The role centers on staff supervision, program coordination, family communication, and compliance, while fostering a safe, engaging environment for children.
Key Qualifications
Must be 18 years old or older.
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Recreation, Child Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Education must meet DCF Licensure Requirements for Director status.
Experience working in School-Age child care, youth development, or related programs.
Experience supporting staff and volunteers, including coaching, training, or mentoring.
Strong communication and leadership skills
Knowledge of child development principles, inclusive practices, and safety standards.
Ability to manage program operations, schedules, and basic budgets.
A positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude
Ability to stay organized and adapt in a dynamic environment
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
