About the Role
The Chippewa Falls YMCA is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with our Youth Volleyball Instructional program. Volunteers will work alongside our Lead Volleyball Coach to help create a fun, organized, and positive environment where kids can learn the fundamentals of volleyball.
This is a great opportunity for current or former volleyball players, high school students, or anyone who enjoys volleyball and working with kids.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Assist the Lead Volleyball Coach with drills, activities, and games.
Help demonstrate basic volleyball skills such as passing, setting, serving, and hitting.
Work with small groups or individual participants during drills.
Help keep kids engaged, organized, and moving throughout each session.
Encourage participants and create a positive, welcoming environment for all skill levels.
Assist with setting up and putting away volleyballs, nets, and other equipment.
Help the Lead Coach with other program needs throughout each session.
Key Qualifications
Volleyball playing experience is preferred but not required.
Comfortable working with elementary-aged children.
Positive, energetic, patient, and encouraging.
Dependable and able to communicate well with the Lead Coach and YMCA staff.
Willing to learn and help wherever needed.
