This eight-week YMCA volleyball league is open to girls in fifth and sixth grade from Eau Claire and the surrounding area. The league is designed for players who have previous volleyball experience through volleyball camps, leagues, or YMCA instructional classes and are ready to continue developing their skills through organized game play. This program is not intended for first-time volleyball players. The first week will serve as a placement night. Players will be evaluated and divided into competitive and developmental divisions based on skill level. This placement process will help determine the format of the season and create an experience that benefits players at different levels of development. Players register individually and will be placed on teams following placement night. Throughout the Aces season there will be practice time and modified scrimmages that gradually progress into traditional game play, all within the scheduled Sunday time frame. Throughout the season, players will develop their skills, confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Participants and volunteer coaches from surrounding communities are welcome. Volunteer coaches are needed. No previous coaching experience is required, and support will be provided. There will be no Aces Volleyball on February 14.
